Frequently Asked Questions
Repairs
How long does a repair take?
Most common in-store repairs are completed on the same day, and many repairs can be completed within an hour.
Postal repairs are usually completed within 24–48 hours after receiving your device.
Some repairs, including motherboard repairs, liquid damage inspections, back glass repairs and complex faults, may take longer.
We will contact you if additional time is required.

Do I need to provide my passcode?
A passcode may be required so our technicians can fully test your device after repair.
If you do not wish to provide your passcode, we can still complete the repair, but some functions may not be fully tested.
We only use access information for repair testing purposes.
Will I lose my data during repair?
We recommend backing up your device before any repair.
Most repairs do not affect personal data, but certain repairs, especially motherboard repairs, software restoration or severely damaged devices, may carry a risk of data loss.
iPhonefixed cannot guarantee that data will remain unchanged.
Warranty & Repair Quality
Do your repairs come with a warranty?
Yes.
Warranty periods depend on the repair type:
| Repair | Warranty |
|---|---|
| OLED Screen Replacement | 12 months |
| Standard LCD Screen Replacement | 6 months |
| Budget LCD Screen Replacement | 3 months |
| Motherboard Repair | 3 months |
| Accessories | 12 months |
Liquid damage repairs are not covered by warranty.
Are your replacement parts original Apple parts?
iPhonefixed is an independent repair provider and is not an Apple Authorised Service Provider.
We use carefully selected, high-quality replacement parts suitable for each repair.
Where genuine manufacturer parts are available, this will be clearly stated.
Will a third-party repair affect my Apple warranty?
Third-party repairs may affect manufacturer warranty coverage.
If your device is still covered by Apple or another manufacturer's warranty, we recommend contacting them first.
Screen Repairs
Will a screen replacement fix my broken touchscreen?
In most cases, yes.
A damaged display assembly can cause:
- cracked glass
- touch problems
- display issues
Replacing the screen assembly usually restores normal function.
However, devices with additional internal damage may require further diagnosis.
Will Face ID, Touch ID or True Tone work after repair?
Some original device features depend on the condition and transfer of original components.
Before repair, we will advise you of any known limitations.
For certain models, replacing or transferring original components may be required to maintain specific functions.
Will my device remain waterproof after repair?
No repair can guarantee the original factory water resistance of a device.
Opening a device may affect its original seals.
We recommend treating repaired devices carefully around water.
Common Repair Situations
My device was dropped and now has more problems. Can you repair it?
Yes, we can inspect and diagnose devices with accidental damage.
However, drops can sometimes damage internal components that are not immediately visible.
We will advise you if additional repairs are required.
Can you repair a device that I tried to fix myself?
Yes.
We regularly help customers with devices that have been partially opened or damaged during DIY repairs.
Please contact us first, as additional diagnosis may be required.
Do you repair water damaged devices?
Yes, we offer liquid damage inspection and repair services.
However, liquid damage is unpredictable.
Even after cleaning or repair, corrosion can continue to affect components in the future.
For this reason, liquid damage repairs do not include warranty coverage.
Do you repair motherboard faults?
Yes.
Our technicians can diagnose selected motherboard issues.
Because motherboard repairs are highly complex, a diagnosis may be required before confirming the final cost.
Buying & Selling Devices
Do you buy used or damaged devices?

We purchase selected smartphones, tablets and laptops depending on their condition and market value.
You can contact us for a valuation.
Which devices do you repair?
We repair a wide range of devices, including:
✓ iPhone

✓ Other smartphones, tablets and electronics
Pricing
Why can the final repair price change?
Some issues cannot be fully identified until the device has been inspected.
If we discover additional faults or required repairs, we will contact you before carrying out extra work.
No additional repair work will be completed without your approval.
I found a cheaper repair price. Can you match it?
We are happy to discuss competitive pricing.
However, repair prices depend on:
- Part quality
- Repair experience
- Warranty coverage
- Service level
The cheapest option is not always the best value.
