What is the IMEI number?
The IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) is a number used to identify mobile devices. If a phone is stolen, carriers in some countries will blacklist the IMEI so that the thief cannot use the phone in any capacity (regardless of whether or not the SIM card has been replaced).
To find the IMEI on your iPhone, please use the following techniques.
If you have access to your iPhone, this is how you obtain your iPhone's International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI).
From the Home screen, tap Settings > General > About and scroll down.

If you are unable to access the About screen on your iPhone, please access the Serial Number and IMEI on iPhone models with SIM cards.
