How many times have you tried to take a self-portrait with your iPhone, only to find that you’re missing the top of your head, there’s a tree branch growing out of your ear, or the whole shot is ruined by the effect of your arm protruding from the side of the picture? Yes, the art of self-portraiture is hard to master, but with the invention of the ingenious Muku Shuttr, things are about to get a little easier.
Muku Shuttr is a clever little device – a remote shutter for the iPhone which, unlike its competitors, works without having to download a third party camera app. Measuring at just 6mm thick, it’s the worlds thinnest remote, and can be kept either discreetly on a keychain, or in your pocket. Pairing to your iPhone with Bluetooth, the range is around ten metres, and no line of sight is needed, meaning that problems taking group photographs and family pictures are now a thing of the past. No longer will you have someone missing from the group, or a blurred face from a child moving at the last minute – incredibly, the shutter release can be used from a pocket, so people will never even know it was there.
Every Muku Shuttr is shipped with a suction stand to ensure your iPhone stays safely upright, and the best news is that if you remember to turn off the device after use, the battery will last for a whopping two years. So say hello to Muku Shuttr, and goodbye to missing heads, blurry faces and strangely angled photographs – self portraiture has reached a whole new level.
