Date added: 01/10/2013 iPhonefixed loves the Nix colour sensor
Here at iPhonefixed, we love to keep up with the most recent iPhone technology developments, from apps to hardware, protective cases to fun accessories. One of our favourites to date is the incredibly clever Nix colour sensor, which allows you to easily capture the perfect colour and shade for any design or interiors projects.
The colour sensor works in a wonderfully simple way; simply open the corresponding app on your iPhone, scan the object or picture with the colour you wish to capture, and watch the colour swatch appear on your iPhone screen. The unique design means it blocks out all ambient light, and then provides its own calibrated light source, meaning that the colour swatch you receive on your iPhone is the most accurate you’ll ever be able to capture.
Once you’ve got your colour sample, the possibilities are endless. At the same time Nix scans, it also provides you with the RGB values of the colour, which means you can easily find the corresponding colour on PC and Macbook design software. Alternatively, touch the colour in the Nix app on your iPhone, and then select what you’re looking for from the menu; choose from anything, from make up to crayons, and of course interior wall paint. You’ll then be taken to a screen where you can select the brand you desire, and any available stockists – and there’s even the option to be taken directly to the brand website.
The most accurate way to select colour to date, the Nix colour scanner blows all previous sampling methods out of the water. Forget inaccurate paint charts and smartphone photographs, Nix can provide you with the colour you’re looking for in seconds – so no more repainting the bedroom!

Whether the music in question is on the radio, on an advert or playing in somebodys car, simply hold your iPhone up, press the Shazam button and the app will find a match within seconds. Amazing!

In the era of the environmentalist, there’s an eco-friendly version of almost everything; clothing, homewares, healthy and beauty products, iPhone cases and even cars. Here at iPhonefixed, we’re keen to do our bit, so we like to keep an eye out for any environmentally friendly iPhone accessories that might pop up. So when we stumbled across the Ginkgo Solar Tree, we decided we absolutely had to share the details.
Inspired by the leaf shape and function of the ginkgo plant, the Solar Tree is an innovative and eco-friendly charger, designed to power your iPhone to its full capacity while limiting the impact on the environment. The solar panels have been based around the shape of the ginkgo leaf, but have been cleverly made in such a way that they can be folded away during storage – meaning that the packaging used is minimal. The materials used to create the Ginkgo Solar Tree have been kept to a high eco-friendly standard; the panels are made from a unique resound material, which is a combination of bio-based material ad PC, while the trunk is made from highly renewable bamboo.
The Solar Tree works in a simple way; plug your iPhone into the USB post located on the back of the Ginkgo, plug the other end into your phone and watch it charge without having a negative effect on the planet. It’s fast as well; two hours can leave your iPhone battery completely full – what’s not to love?

There is an app and a piece of hardware that can turn your iPhone into pretty much anything these days, and with the arrival of Range, it can even become a handy kitchen tool.

It’s no secret that here at iPhonefixed, we love good design and clean living in equal measures, so every time we stumble across an iPhone or iPad accessory that ticks both those categories, we get a bit excited. From cases upcycled from old tyres or fire hoses, to iPhone docks crafted from broken vintage radios, we love everything unique and good for the planet. Date added: 21/08/2013 GoCuff – iPhone Fitness Case supported by iPhonefixed
Whether you’re training for a marathon or charity run, or you’re simply someone who’s keen on fitness and the gym, you’re probably going to want something to listen to while you work out. If you’re running on a treadmill, or through the streets in the early morning sunlight, it’s always good to have a little entertainment; from podcasts, plays and audiobooks to invigorating dance music that gets your heart pumping – so the one thing you’re going to need is a dedicated fitness case, that will keep your iPhone safe while you’re busy keeping your fitness levels up.
Most iPhone fitness cases are designed to be worn around the upper arm, which leaves them in an awkward place that is both hard to reach and tricky to get to. GoCuff is different – unlike its competitors, it’s worn on the wrist which means you can access it quickly and easily, whether you’re on the treadmill or heading off to go snowboarding. Available in three different sizes; small, medium and large, the GoCuff has been anatomically engineered, and allows you to use your iPhone to its full capacity through the unique PVC touch-sensitive screen. If you’re into adventure sports, such as snowboarding, skiing or paragliding, the GoCuff also tracks elevation gain and GPS, while still allowing for a full range of motion at the wrist. What’s even better is that the GoCuff is made from incredibly thin, perforated neoprene, which means it has a high level of breathability – essential when taking part in sports and fitness activities.
