Statistics indicate that 50% of all iPhones purchased will be damaged. Apple has already sold 6.5 million iPhones in the U.K alone! Since the debut of the iPhone 3G, Apple has sold almost 200 million iPhones and the release of the iPhone 5 in late 2012 is only going increase this number further. So the potential is there.
